Nullarbor sunset

I’ve just got back from a 4 day assignment out on the Nullarbor Plain. My brief was very open and included landscapes, aerials and wildlife. Everything I love!

On the 2nd afternoon we were treated to an awesome Nullarbor sunset and this quintessential Australian outback shot is the result!

  1. Nice big station mill Dave . Well shot.

PS Don’t ever get a job as a train controller as the trains will be running very late. Thats the longest 10 min. i’ve ever spent. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Dave, thanks for a great dinner tonight!

Markie had to get to bed, too tired, could not wait any longer, his last words as he just saw this post on my screen on the way down the steps “fucking A!!!!!” πŸ™‚

I like this Dave, the guy in there makes the shot, makes it a lot more interesting than just the windmill. Just needs a gritty texture on that pretty sky, come on mate, come to the dark side, you know you want to. It’s much more fun over here on the dark side!!!

  3. Yo dude…you nailed that one!

  4. Love it, Dave. I particularly liked seeing the guy (still with his hat on, unnecessarily, as cockies do) and the trees, which reminded me so much of our years farming in the wheatbelt.

  5. Yes, great imagery Dave.

  6. Classic shot of a classic outback subject with fantastic colour and the stockman up the top just makes it, It’s a ripper.

  7. Yes mate. Wheatbelt. Well my parents were – I was a kid. But that’s where I really developed my interest in birds.

  8. Stunning shots David, don’t listen to Flemming, we don’t all need to go to the dark side, I like the pretty side at the moment. πŸ™‚

  9. I still love ‘pretty’ landscapes Dave. This shot is just so Aussie. Love it.

  10. Calm and still. Beautiful sunset photo!

  11. Hi David,
Do you sell any of your work. I would love to get a picture of the Nullarbor Windmill.
