Taken from the bow of True North. There were spectacular cloud formations as we steamed through Saint Gorge Basin. We were all pretty impressed with the sky show and the sunset was also one of the best!

Very effective Dave, love the cloud but tipping that it what attracted you to this composition. It’s pointing, saying ‘check this out!’.

I’ve got quite a few images from this angle as well, didn’t get the great clouds though. might have another look at them and post a couple!

This was one amazing epic afternoon of clouds. Actually most days had epic clouds prompting the classic much repeated ‘let’s shoot more clouds with a sliver of land at the bottom’
This is beautiful, soft and peaceful. I like how you kept the tones subtle, true to the scene.
I also remember a tones of jokes this afternoon, especially from Greggy 🙂

G’day Flemming
Yes indeed it was a memorable shoot. Snapping away shots from the bow of TN and simply applying the 8/10th sky rule allowed us to almost give our full attention to Greg’s jokes!
Rewrite the manuals. 1/10 water – 1/10 background – 8/10th sky is the new rule!
I’ve got another cloudscape to post soon.
Cheers
Dave
