Manning Gorge

mg for webManning Gorge is roughly halfway up the Gibb River Road. I trekked for 2 hours into the gorge in the dark so I could get the waterfall at sunrise. It’s one of my favorite shots from the book and can be found on page 51.

  1. That is a brilliant early morning soft light shot of Manning Gorge. I have not seen Manning at sunrise before, I think most people take off at sunrise and then arrive when the light is already quite harsh. That soft light in the Kimberley is gone so quickly!

    Crossing that river in the dark must have been interesting 🙂

  4. Thanks guys. I’ve only just realised that I had to ‘approve’ everyones coments. I’ll have to go and figure out how to let everyones comments appear intantly.

    Yea it was interesting crossing the river in the dark Flemming. It took me ages and I felt like I was going in circles following all those reflective markers in the dark.
