Cone Bay

cb p for web

Here’s a couple of images of Cone Bay in the Buccaneer Archipelago. These pics are from pages 70 & 71 from my Kimberley book. To take these shots I based myself at Cape Leveque and chartered a light aircraft with the doors off. We took off about half an hour before sunrise when it was still quite dark. We could barely see the end of the dirt airstrip! When we arrived overhead the archipelago the light was magic!

  1. hi Dave
great to see you on a blog. i’ve got your Pilbara book and love it, so i’m sure your Kymberley book will be no exception. i’m definitely hoping to check that one out when i see it in a book store.

great shots here to kick the blog off with. i really like the left aerial image here. it looks like a memorable flight!

  2. Thanks Stephen. This pair are some of my favorite shots. You can’t go wrong when you flying over the kimberley. Everything is so stunning and pristine! Can’t wait to get back up there again. Most Dymocks stores in Perth have the book. But you can get one a bit cheaper directly from me if you want.

Thanks for dropping by. Will add you to my links. Cheers

  3. cool, thanks for the link.
yeah i’ll send you an email about the book once I get back from my trip away and get some funds back in the bank.
i’d prefer to go direct through you for sure. πŸ™‚

it’s a bit different to how I usually acquire photography books- usually i’m looking for a present for somebody else, but see a book and can’t help but get it for myself πŸ˜›

  4. Sounds good. Cheers. So were abouts are you Stephen. Still in Oz or os. Somewhere specky and getting heaps of pics I hope.

  5. nah just heading down to Denmark, Albany, Esperance and the Stirlings.
so not a big trip- but just what i’m in need of none the less πŸ˜›
love that area, and not been to Esperance before so it should be good.
2 weeks in total- can’t wait to get out of this city for a bit πŸ™‚
